Cool gadgets to watch out for in 2012

1. 55 inch Big screen OLED Displays and TVs

After experimenting with Cellphone screens and small TV displays, LG announced it will be releasing 55 Inch OLED TV some time in 2012. OLEDs (Organic Light Emitting Diode based displays), work without back lights which results in better and clear images, and can be thinner and lighter than LCD screens .

2. Nintendo Wii 2

Nintendo announced it will be releasing Wii successor Wii 2, sometime in 2012.  The original Wii console released in 2006 and it took 6 years for Nintendo to come up with its second generation Wii. Rumors doing round about its specifications and capabilities, but Wii 2 will be a cool device to have in 2012, if the rumors of 1080p support and ATI GPUs are true.

3. Retina Display equipped iPad 3

Though the speculations are that, there will be another iPad release this year,  most likely apple is expected to release larger retina display based iPads only early next year.

4. Microsoft Windows 8 SOC based Tablets

Bloomberg anonymous sources suggest that Microsoft won’t release a tablet operating system until 2012 back to school season. When next year Windows 8 SOC version released there will be many OEMs lined up to release windows tablet for mainstream market.
